This weary old boy is in desperate need of a loving home and a hug. George was exclusively designed for Oakley Fabrics by the wonderful Sue Schoen of Bocs Teganu. Measuring 15" (40cm) when aided to stand, clever use of scissors and tweezers, combined with visible 'repairs' create this highly appealing chap.

George requires the following:

0.25m Mohair
Ultrasuede, cashmere or wool felt for his paws
1x 50mm Joint for his head
4x 45mm Joints for his arms and legs
8mm Glass eyes
Polyfill
Plastic pellets (optional)

Also the following threads: matching sewing thread, strong thread, No 5 cotton perle

A basic sewing kit will also be required.

5 stars A very good 'old bear' Written by H. Bartholomew

If you want an old-fashioned looking bear then this pattern is perfect. I used 12mm distressed honey nut mohair, which is a beautiful, soft mohair - it gave him a slightly newer look. Beginners beware as the fur direction arrow on the ear is the wrong way round - the fur should go up the ear!

Oops thank you for pointing out the printing error, that has never been mentioned to us and the pattern has been sold countless times! So we have now ammended the arrow.
