These felting mats are designed by Clover. They are a brush like mat which allows smooth punching with little resistance allowing the fibres to mesh well. Always insert the needles vertically to avoid breaking them, also the needles shouldn't touch the base of the mat as you work. Use with one of clovers felting tools to speed up the process.
